Corte d'Aibo
Corte (court) d’Aibo is situated at approximately 20kms from Bologna in the centre of the Parco Regionale dell’Abbazia di Monteveglio. On the hills around Corte d’Aibo there are vineyards, wheatfields and fruit orchards. The main house of the Agriturismo (farm-hostel) is dated back to the 16th century. It was originally a fortified tower, later it was transformed into a convent as can be seen by the vaulted ceiling and the numerous cubby holes in the thick walls, and since the 1980 it became the main building of the farm. The farm has 12 comfortable double rooms all with private bathrooms. One of the rooms is also for disabled people. Several have a sofa bed for children or extra guests, pets are also welcome in the rooms. All the rooms have been recently refurbished, maintaining the original features of the old building, and there are some pleasant areas outside where you can recline, looking out over the green hillside and vineyards. The restaurant is well known for its genuine good quality food which is served with the farm’s own wine.
Casa Fonsi
Casa (house) Fonsi is an Agriturismo (farm-hostel) situated at approximately 25kms from Bologna in the Regional Park of Monteveglio Abbey. At 250m over sea level the Fonzi House has a wide view on the valley of the Samoggia stream and it has 43 hectare of ground. A part of this ground is wood (in the Park of Monteveglio Abbey), part it has fruit orchards: appletrees, pears, apricots, plumes, peaches and figs. There are also vineyards (Pingnoletto and Barbera), uncultivated fields, and fields cultivated with wheat, barley, beetroots and sunflowers. At the end there is also a kitchen garden of 2,000 msq containing chicory, potato, courgette, onion, shallot, beans, tomato and carduus. The farm can house the guests in three double rooms and one single room, one of the three double rooms is at ground level and has a big bathroom easily accessible for a disabled person. Small pets are also welcome in the rooms or in the outside holding areas. Outside the building there are some pleasant areas where you can recline looking over the valley and vineyards. The restaurant offer delicious local food of high quality in a quiet and friendly atmosphere. The food is served with the farm’s own wine.
