Who we are
The aim of "De Italiaanse Natuur" is to provide an opportunity to discover the culture as well as the typical cuisine of the Emilia Romagna region. Compared to the other northern regions of Italy, such as Lombardia, Tuscany and Veneto, Emilia Romagna is less known abroad and certainly less visited. We organise guided tours in the Regional Natural Protected Park of Monteveglio Abbey, an area of breath-taking natural beauty and of great historical relevance. By taking part in these tours, you will get a chance to spend some days deeply immersed in nature while at the same time getting acquainted with the people of one of the most ancient territories of Emilia Romagna.
What we offer
We appreciate the fact that people have different interests and inclinations. Hence, with "De Italiaanse Natuur" we strived to be as flexible as possible. You can create your personalized tour suited to meet your needs and tailored around your personal interests; or you can choose a suggested combination. For family groups with children special activities can also be organised.
Possible activities:
> Guided hiking tours across the Regional Natural Protected Park Area of Monteveglio Abbey.
> Guided visits of Monteveglio Abbey and surrounding area.
> Cooking experiences: savour local food while also learning how to prepare it!
> Wine-tasting sessions, focussing on local wines
Accommodation in a local farmhouse will be provided.
Is it suited for you?
Our tours are aimed at small groups with a minimum of 4 persons (if you are planning to come in a smaller group, please get in touch directly with us to discuss the options). The maximum size of a group should be about 12 persons. Please do come along to taste Italian food, to discover evocative areas and to relax in the pleasant nature of Bologna hills. In short: your unique chance to get a morsel of Italy the Italian way.
